Epicutis is First EWG-Verified Pro Skincare Brand in US
Epicutis, a clean beauty brand that markets medical-grade luxury skincare, has become the first EWG-Verified professional skincare brand in the US.
The brand worked with the Environmental Working Group (EWG), and its EWG Verified program, which certifies personal care products against the strictest safety standards. Earning the EWG certification means Epicutis can use the EWG Verified mark in marketing and on packaging.
About Epicutis: Clean Skincare in Luxe Packaging
Epicutis says its new status marks the brand as a leader in “the non-toxic skincare industry” in the US. The brand says it is committed to complete transparency and using premium ‘clean’ ingredients.
Epicutis’ therapeutic ingredients are sourced from in-house manufacturers. The brand is also vegan, non-GMO, Prop-65 compliant, and meets the EU’s rigorous standards.
The Epicutis line includes Lipid Serum, HYVIA Crème, and Lipid Recovery Mask—
Lipid Serum, in a bottle with a white dropper, is a powerful formula featuring Epicutis’ novel patented ingredient, TSC. It is clinically proven to improve skin health while re-texturizing.
HYVIA Crème, in a double-wall jar with a sleek, modern white lid, features HYVIA—a patented chia seed oil extract. It’s a “next-generation moisturizer,” the brand says, and improves hydration on the cellular level while strengthening the skin’s barrier.
Lipid Recovery Mask, packaged in black single-use sachets, calms skin and reduces redness in under 15 minutes.
More About EWG-Verified & EWG Certification
Earning an EWG Certification tells consumers that products are guaranteed to not contain any ingredients with health, ecotoxicity, or contamination concerns.
Products that are EWG-Verified meet EWG’s standards for full transparency, such as ingredient disclosures on labels. It also guarantees product manufacturers develop and follow current good manufacturing practices to further ensure the safety of their products.
“The EWG Verified guide is an essential resource for consumers who are looking to better educate themselves about what is in their personal care products,” Epicutis states.
Maxwell Stock, CEO and founder of Epicutis, comments, “The EWG is a crucial resource that all consumers should be using. We share the hope with EWG that someday, all products on the market will be free of harmful chemicals.”
Epicutis products are available only through clinicians’ offices and the Epicutis website.
